The possibilities here are definitely grand, at least in some parts of town. Five bedroom houses are not surprising and most of the new ones have an attitude of ‘each child has his or her own bathroom’ let alone cell phone. Right in town there are springing forth newly developing neighborhood in the ‘upper 40’s’ which is real estate lingo meaning, “The houses are running under but near the half a Mil mark.” There really are older fashioned homes in the same price range. Typically, they have one bathroom, but they also have marvelous porches that run along a good two sides of the house.
Many of the newest places are either brick, or have brick fronts with at least one very large front window. At least part of the house, such as the foyer for example, has a high ceiling. High ceilings always look fantastic and add a sense of spaciousness. The next thought on your mind is liable to be: “How do we keep it warm in winter with a ceiling like that?” Just ask your agent. Anyone who knows the houses well will either have a great explanation or you will know to ‘not buy.’
Finally, the average income for the current residents of Carrollton is $74,000 over all. The average for those living in multiple family dwellings is only $13,000 per year. Clearly, it is reasonable to expect that the local real estate market reflects this reality.
